Re: The Cactii garden is growing
Hi Alexandra,
Thank you. The cactus is a Mammilaria but the interesting thing is that is has the spines as a Mammilaria Bombycina but floering yellow.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mammillaria_bombycina
and also weird is that it has that white hairs.
Very nice
The other plant it would be good to see the plant itself without flowers ...

Re: The Cactii garden is growing
That's it!!!!!! well done Rainer. I have been looking after it for 25 years and never knew what it was. It is tough as old boots.
I inherited them when I first started work as the newbie lab technician and told to look after them it until the place burned down in 2017. They survived and since then have lived at my house, outside in summer and inside the conservatory in winter. The hubby hates them, but I have an affection for its hardiness to survive. I have 4 of them 2 are similar but a much larger version so I think a different species.

Re: The Cactii garden is growing
Hi,
Yesterday we had the first good rain in order not to say pour
In 25 minutes we had 24mm and then it calmed down and we got in 45 minutes 28mm and in total the whole night went up to 31mm.
Of course the swimming pool was there again
I know this post might be strange for Europeans / Britains, but here we really have a rain problem.

Re: The Cactii garden is growing
No, the vertical division lines are each 10mm ...
The problem here is that when it rains it pours in a very short time a huge amount of water ...
It gets very warm during some days and then suddenly we get tremendous Thunderstorms ...
