Full disk images 25th April 2022
Got a few breaks in the cloud today allowing me to capture these full disk images in Ha,Cak and white light. Ha disk taken through my Lunt 50THa,K line taken through the Evostar 72ED stopped down to 50mm with a Lunt CaK B12 module and the white light image used the same scope but full aperture with my Scopium Herschel wedge with badder solar continuum/ND3 filters,QHY5III 178M used for all images. SER files recorded in Firecapture, stacked in Autostakkert 3,wavelet sharpened using Astrosurface and finished in Photoshop CS2 adding false colours.

Very nice image there, i really like that CaK one, so which module to buy, B12 or B6 or B18?

Re: Full disk images 25th April 2022
It probably depends on how much money you have on hand. The B600 is cheapest. I hope to get in time a B1200. It's a good size. It also depends what focal length scope you use it on. The B600 would be fine on a small short focal length refractor like my AT72EDII.TareqPhoto wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 11:15 am Very nice image there, i really like that CaK one, so which module to buy, B12 or B6 or B18?

Re: Full disk images 25th April 2022
Apologies not getting back to you all, didn't realise the thread continues in this section separate to the main section.
Magnus, seeing was pretty good at start of session but then gradually broke up.
Tareq, I went with the B12 and I use it with the Evostar 72ED (420mm f/5.8) for full disk with the QHY5III 178 (using region of interest) and the Bresser 90mm (900mm f/10) for close up (same camera). The only complaint I have with the unit is with the reflections caused by the front ERF of the module when attempting imaging prominence's so need to look at getting a triband ERF on front of scope so I hopefully remove the offending filter on the module and cut out the reflections.
