H alpha spectroheliograms of today
Spectroheliograms of this morning in H alpha light at 6563 Å with VHIRSS (Very High Resolution Solar Spectrograph) in digital spectroheliograph mode. The line, after scanning, subtended about 60 pixels, so I reconstructed two images: one with 56 pixels, or 56 frames 0.02 A each for a total of 1.12 Å (the second), and one with 10 frames on the center of the line for a total of 0.2 Å (the first). As can be seen, the difference is dramatic and shows the importance of the more or less narrow passband in H alpha filters very well
