i prefer the first because the second weight and instability is more.
what you suggest
thanks

I always used it like picture two, I couldn't get focus otherwise

If you dont have a focus issue, I will use number one. I use it with my filters. When I test Quark filters I do the same, the combo with a TZ4.

I did some tests. With the diagonal after the Chromosphere, the setup is more comfortable and with less flexion or risk of unscrewing / overturning.
There is just a little more vignetting at the edge of the field, with a Plosss 25mm TV eyepiece, which is not there if I put the eyepiece directly into the daystar.

Either should work. Personally I always preferred the latter.

The description of the manufacturer is clear:

one might speculate that the (non bbhs-) diagonal is taking a bit of the uv load off the blocker.

2" diagonal gives shortest setup, which is preferable over any other options in my opinion.

Lovely setup, but I have to ask:
How rigid is all that "plumbing" attached to the focuser tube (I see extender + TZ-4 + SS)?

Well, it is a test setup with a cheap Omegon 80mm extender. The 50mm is a little to short. The Baader M68 is the very best, but if the Omegon did the job without problems, it was an easy and cheap way to do it. And it works!
On the road to my mobile setup is a new refractor from TS. I sold my APO ES 80mm because the focuser could not handle the weight.
In the future a better and smarter mount.
My solar summer setup in my observatory is (I take the C14 down) a 8” Triband with a TZ-3, the 80mm and TZ-4 and a 60mm TS ED. I can use my SS 0.3A, Quantum 0.6A and a Baader Herschel wedge behind the telescopes. The Baader reducers 0.4x or 0.6x behind the filters.

Agreed - if it works, why bother?
Looks you have adequate mount for the setup in your photo (EQ5 and alike?). What better and smarter one could be? - I'm rarely use my EQ5 GoTo.
I'm visual only observer, my most used mount is AZ-4 on aluminum tripod.
I use it with ED80 for Lunar/Solar WL with wedge/Solar H-a with Quark Chromo and with Mewlon-180C for Lunar. I like to "wander around" while observing that duo of celestial bodies - for example, to make a circle around Solar limb is far more easier and quicker with AZ-4 ;)

I am looking for a smart new mount. I did use a Great Polaris on my very old Vixen Fl-102 (why on Earth did I sell it??). Later the Vixen clones Advanced Mount and now a used EQ5.
The grab and go mount must be extremely easy to use and must be used without any communication by a smartphone. I dont need a planetarium program to find the Sun ;)
Still looking after the perfect mount. And it must be a AZ configuration. My friend and founder of the premium mount (his company is only two miles from me) Track The Stars do have the great and very easy Panther 160 mount. He is saying that he maybe will start to produce a smaller mount. I will his first customer. The Panther is a little to heavy. We did beta test mount number 01 with my C9.25 and latter just for fun my C14. I know a smaller version will be perfect as a Solar setup for me and a lot of my fellow Sun observers.

The i-optron alt az pro that i use is basically a grab and go mount. Easy setup, simple to use, no smartphone required. If you want more it also has some electronic comfort built in. up to 10kg scopes are no problem for my taste.
