Cobwebs are dusted off! First images of the season.
Hi Everyone.
After a long winter, vast amounts of snowfall and, finally, a few days of torrential downpour with associated flooding across the province, I've finally been able to set up for an imaging session! The window of opportunity was short and the seeing average but I managed some H-alpha, high resolution shots of two active regions currently in view.
The gear: Aries (Valery) ERF, Celestron C8 Edge, Moonlite CHL focuser, ~4.4x Telecentric, Daystar QPE 0.6A, Point Grey USB3 Grasshopper IMX174.
Cheers.
Peter

Dennis, Maurits, Frank and Ivan:
Many thanks for your positive feedback.
Thanks, Franco. It’s good to be back!
Alexandra:
Your supportive comments always make my day!
Eric:
I hope you get to use your big ERF as well. You’re clearly a master of full disk imaging. It’s challenging to image at this close-up scale but very satisfying when everything comes together.
Valery:
You were my inspiration for this kind of imaging. At some point I will try to get the double stack going according to your helpful advice. Thinking of you often and hoping for the safety of you and your family.

Beautiful images Peter. With a start like that, I suspect a great imaging season is in store.
