Sun today morning
Hello,
I managed to get few images today morning in average to good seeing (it was improving until I had to go to work ).
I used 155mm f8 APO and Daystar CaH and Ha filter. As a green filter I used narrowband (40nm) green filter from TS Herschel wedge. Multiplier was Televue powermate 4x, camera ASI 485 color. More resolution and info on click:

Here also few older images reprocessed (more on https://astrofotky.cz/~rick):

Re: Sun today morning
You got an excellent session there Roman! I particularly like the CaH, distinctly different than CaK. That TS 155mm seems to be a good performer at the short end of the spectrum.

Re: Sun today morning
Very nice images. I especially like the WL, lovely granulation.

Re: Sun today morning
marktownley thank you. its hard to get sharp results from CaH "thanks" to seeing, but I like thtat different look from ordinary green/continuum images. Just for info filter is about 10A wide, its really different also from Baader UV of CaK filters I tried in past. Also I am very glad that telescope perform very good in this wavelength. Report says that Strehl is 0.96 (probably at 555nm), but looks to be still better than 0.84 at 396nm.
robert: thank you, I really like that "high" resolution of the granulation - that you can actually resolve irregular shapes of it. I didnt think it can be achieved with only 6" aperture.

Superb images Roman
The resolution is very detailed with each filter.

Thank you for the beautiful images. You really inspired me for some new projects:
1. prepare a newton with an uncoated mirror for whitelight
2. build a setup with a tunable light source and artificial star (pinhole) to measure the Strehl of different telescopes at different wavelengths. (fulvio.mete, p_zetner, christian viladrich: ever thought about this?)
My greatest fear is being married alive.
