Although I know absolutely diddly squat about spectrocoronagraphs, looks like you have this figured out nicely! (I'll do some reading, I promise!)

thanks a lot but its not a spectroheliograph :)

There is no scanning or image reconstruction.

its a coronagraph with a diffraction gratinh to replace the H alpha filter :)

Just to get my head round this, what you are using is something similar to this

But instead of the Halpha filter you are splitting the sun light through a slit first, and observing only light that comes through the h-alpha line? so no scanning.

the white stuff is thermic glue used in electronic ! its pretty cheap and works very well and you can undo it easily!
