Dear friends,

Another nice sunny lunch with lots of interesting solar activity.

FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

FD image in CaK using a FLO StellaMira 80mm ED f/10, stopped down to 60mm, Lunt CaK 1200 module and ASI 183mm camera mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

Lovely disks as always Arne, I was hoping to do the same today after work but it went cloudy. Maybe tomorrow morning instead I hope!

Wish you luck on tomorrows weather.

This my last chance for imaging the Sun for a few days. Heading for Sweden tomorrow to do a bike-ride around lake Vättern (a 300km bike-ride called Vätternrundan).

Arne,

A quick question: Why do you use a UV/IR filter since the Solar Continuum (at least the "newer" versions of it) blocks UV and IR? Any other benefits from additional filtering?
