Animation of SE Limb proms 6/19/2022

Post by rigel123 »

I'm going to have a lot to catch up on after the next few days with clear skies predicted for a while now. I probably should have started with the ones from the 18th but I saw a lot of movement in this group of proms so jumped on these files first! This is 70 minutes in real time and the image has been rotated 90 degrees CW for viewing. Lunt LS60T DS, ASI174MM and Meade 3X Tele-extender. A number of jet contrails drifted across the image a few times which causes the flicker in the background.

Thanks Mark that motion was quite obvious while watching the screen when I was capturing the AVI's.

Warren, that's spectacular and funny at the same time. Seems like a couple of cartoon human characters are making a run for it at the northern part of the limb and a 3rd one suddenly appears and all three are sprinting for their lives :D
