FDs in Ha and CaK 21st June 2022
Just a couple of FDs late this afternoon. The Ha mosaic is a bit patchy as I needed to tweak the etalons a little more to achieve even brightness across the field of view. This is really difficult to see on the 'live view'.
First up is my CaK disk in three flavours: mono, colour and inverted/colour

Next, my Ha disk in mono and colour, imaged using my Lunt 60:

These were imaged from my driveway, which is a building site at the moment, hence most of my imaging sessions are in the late afternoon after the builders have gone for the day otherwise there may be too much dust around to contaminate my equipment. It does mean, however, that the heat of the day (we had 25 deg C, which is pretty warm for us) has all but ruined the seeing conditions. My SSM was bouncing all over the place, between bad and worse (3 to 5).
As always, thanks for looking.
Stu.

Thanks, Mark. Good progress, more or less on schedule. They are up to first floor level and should be at rooftop level in a couple of weeks. I just hope the weather holds.marktownley wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 7:57 pm Nice disks Stu! Hope the building work is coming along on schedule.

Lovely disks - re CaK I prefer the first two - Inversion should work nicely on the B&W image!

Re: FDs in Ha and CaK 21st June 2022
Thanks, Nick,
Yea...the third CaK was just for fun, really. Not my usual pallet. Inverted CaK do rather take on a peculiar 'texture' though, which is not to everyone's taste, but can be 'interesting'. Colouring it a sickly strawberry/blueberry colour probably wasn't the best idea.
