AR3034 equatorial sunspot was approximately at opposition on Sunday morning.
- 300/1200 uncoated Newtonian
- Baader Solar Continuum 2"
- average seeing - 20 km/h steady wind

Holy $111T !! This is incredible! What resolution. It’s among the best granulation images I have seen an amateur do. Stunning job! The sunspot shows stunning resolution too!
This one would be truly beautiful colorized.

That is gobsmackingly good. Just wow.
PS - just love the way you can also see bits of features in the dark centre of the spot, as if you're looking deeper into a cave and there's s/t there staring back at you
Laszlo I'm guessing that's a homemade solar newtonian - if so, would you be willing to share tips & specs on the ATM in a separate thread please?
