The big filament, er, filaprom, from today 6/22/2022

Post by rigel123 »

Before I work on any more animations I wanted to grab some shots later in the day of the big filament as it rotates to the limb. Seeing was pretty good so I stacked my 3X and 2X tele-extenders for a closeup. They came out better than I expected. That is one thick wall of plasma! Lunt LS60T DS, ASI174MM.

I wonder that too. If it’s a prominent prominence I’ll take a look or image with the SMII90.

There is some great activity in that region, I've been watching it all morning.

The filaprom is breaking up at the moment.
