Weds 22 June - HA & WL
Finally got round to processing data gathered that morning.
The HA is the usual kit (TV76, SF50, L3 filter, 178MMcool & 290MM+2.5x PM). The WL is still the ETX125 w Baader ND5 film, except this time I had received a Wegat back for the ETX125. What a wonderful modification that transforms the way that scope can be used!
I'm also trialling Astrobin as I've noticed a few forum'ers use it to store images in higher image size than jpgs?
Cheers

Re: Weds 22 June - HA & WL
Thanks Mark, Franco & Brian - that's v kind. Yes I was quite happy with what popped out, although I can also see the ways they can be improved. Practice, practice, practice
Btw the Wegat visual back just transforms the ETX125 - it even allows for BV'ing natively w/o any barlows or GPCs. I just had a short visual WL stint w the ND5 film, and the entire solar disc fits into the FOV w 25mm EPs used natively and its such an easier form factor to handle than a long refractor.

Re: Weds 22 June - HA & WL
I have the Macs up and running and have been learning how to navigate and use them. I have now backed up a third copy of the last three years of solar work using it. I have yet to use it for imaging due to the weather. The last three days have been largely overcast. It's coming though. I look forward to trying out ASTRO IIDC and the Point Grey Grasshopper.
