Hi Andy
That's an awesome image, loads of detail and very dramatic.
What scope did you use?
My only suggestion is for cropping the disk, is to use Corono a freeware program for creating coronagraph type images.
First open your image in Corono and create an image that blacks out the proms by selecting three points along the limb of the sun, Corono then creates the curve for you and blacks out the proms, save the image.
Then open the Corono image in Photoshop and now use the magic wand to crop the suns surface and paste it onto your original brightened prom image.
This will give you a sharp edge so it may need a bit of playing in ImPPG with the original curves to get the two to blend nicely.
There are probably other ways of doing this in Photoshop but I can't find them.
I had a crude go with your image below so the original image is not in the right place just to show how it would work.
You may not like it but its all good fun experimenting.

Hi Andy
I have sent you an email
Yep sadly Corono seems to have disappeared but I am just messaging the writers to see if it is possible to get it somewhere.

Cheers Rod

Awesome image.

Why only 1ms of exposure time when you can have ~8ms with the cam not loosing any fps?

Thanks for the link Clare and Peter

Could I find it on google
And couldn't get a message to Sylvain Weiller because of Microsoft messaging problems.
Then when I opened your link I found I already had it in my bookmarks

Cheers Rod
