2022 07 03 - Giant tangerine
I pointed my telescope at this giant tangerine in the skies.

Re: 2022 07 03 - Giant tangerine
I would really love to be able to process my photos to get thst 3D effect that is in yours.
Can I ask you how you achieve that?

Re: 2022 07 03 - Giant tangerine
As lame as this sounds, its because of flat frames, as long as you do calibration frames that are done correctly, the subtle look of an object being 3D is more apparent. Also inverting it makes a huge difference.

Hey Simon!, your first image of those SE proms look much as I saw them today. You must have imaged close to the same time that I observed. Around 16:00 UT. That’s a very nice image, certainly more than I could see visually. And hey, I love tangerines !

Very nice images, Simon. Your seeing conditions must have been pretty good given the spicules on the limb.

Well done, Simon! It's very high level images. I like how limb details came out especially.

Re: 2022 07 03 - Giant tangerine
Dare i say, ive had better seeing than that. Im planning on going to a place later on this week which is above Los Angeles in altitude, to a place known as Charlton Flats. 5/5 seeing up there can be quite spectacular. Just gotta wait for it to pop up on the prediction.
