Not much solar work going on here at the moment. We've been getting plenty of clear skies, but the seeing has been so bad that it's beyond the treshold where I even bother trying to image. I have been doing a fair bit of visual though, so I haven't been missing anything
On the other hand, it is that time of year where my other hobby (bird photography) peaks. A small selection of what I've managed to capture lately. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks Alexandra
The blackcap did indeed have some grass stuck there. Not sure how much that bothers/harms her (if at all).

Thanks Mark.
I use a Nikon Z9. The lens depends on the situation (how close I am), but it's either a Nikon 300mm pf or 500mm pf.

Re: Spring/summer birds
Hi Jochen,
Your images are Stunning. First class. Incredible sharpnes and all birds are alive. That little reflection of the sun on their eyes is an absolute must.
The detail of the featers of the duck sre just impressive.
You should participate in a nature photography competition.

Re: Spring/summer birds
Thanks Franco/Rainer.
The competitive side of me is a bit hesitant (there's a lot of amazing bird photographers out there), but we'll see. I might at some point.
Funny you should say that; my girlfriend has been going on about that very thing lately as well
