We continue to practice taking high-resolution (700mm focal length, 106mm aperture) H-alpha images over a wide area (using our custom made 12mm long lithographic slits). First a full disk image, reduced by 50%. The best 5 of 20 SHG images stacked with AS3!, Imppg, Photoshop.
We did our best to get most of the disk in good focus but we still had a problem with the bottom part. Here is a closeup near the central region which is in good focus and also has a lot of interesting structures. 100% crop of the above (click on the image to see at higher resolution).
In the following image, we tried our best to improve focus on the lower part of the disk. The best 6 of 24 SHG images stacked with AS3!, Imppg, Photoshop. Unfortunately, the image is not quite as sharp as the preceding one.
You can compare these images to our previous effort viewtopic.php?t=37031 (acquisition settings were similar) and to NISP in Spain, taken around the same time viewtopic.php?t=37079.

Fantastic - all I can say.
Looking for images taken with improved optics and at a larger scale.
