17.7.2022, AR3057 closeup in WL and h-alpha comparison

Post by Dennis »

Hi there,

todays morning session was focusing on the sunspot and brought interesting results. Compare WL (Antlia 393nm), h-alpha while off band with the quark, and finally on band arrived at the chromosphere.

Thanks for looking
Dennis

Nice. But why the WL detail seems a bit mushy? Is it post processing or seeing?

well you have seeing, processing and a Schmidt corrector as reasons to chose from. Seeing has the biggest impact i assume.
Also image scale was too much for todays conditions. Nevertheless it shows interesting detail.
