- On this particular telescope, I noticed the tilt wheel spins very freely when full right / clockwise (from behind). It feels like this is an area where there may be a bit of slop in the mechanism before the wheel starts engaging the etalon as I turn it left / counter clockwise. I assume this is normal to have this tiny bit of free play before you feel the mechanism actually engage moving the wheel left?
- When I'm all the way to the right / clockwise with the tilt wheel, prominences are very visible before I start any tuning to the left. As best as I can tell all the way clockwise is my best position for viewing prominences. As I turn the wheel left and feel the mechanism start engaging, I see the proms getting dimmer and harder to see as more detail starts to come out on the surface. I assume this is ok that this telescope seems to require very minimal tilt? Also ok that it seems to be tuned for proms at its zero (full right / clockwise) position?
Thanks!
