Sol from the 21st of July 2022.
Hi:
Bad weather but got some results.
Used the 3 scopes at the home observatory, with haze, clouds and later rain, see the SSM graph.
Thanks for looking and wish you all a nice starting week.
Best regards.
Eric.

Absolutely stunning. Especially the CaK proms...I need to ask how you managed to process them with such definition. Did you use imppg, and I don't suppose you can share the histogram setting?

Great images, Eric, in horrible conditions.

Thanks Eric, you got some nice images in less than ideal seeing conditions. Just too much cloud here at the moment.

Re: Sol from the 21st of July 2022.
Geoff, Stu and Mark, thanks for the feedback and yes, weather has been bad at my place because we are in the raining season so it is very hard to image the Sun.
Geoff, answering your question I must say that I am using a homemade modification of a CaK PST etalon with a 102mm f/9 Meade refractor.
As for the camera I use an old SKYnyx 2-2 from Lumenera, working with the also old Lucam-Recorder software from Heiko Wilkens, and use a Baader Venus filter and a 0.5X reducer at the nose of the camera.
I take a 600 frame SER video for the "prominences" and also another one for the "surface" and align and stack each one with AS!3 and get the best 25% and process them in Registax 6, with wavelets and then go to PhotoShop so to compose both final frames and when ready I use Maxim DL and make the final processing of the composite frame with Lucy Richardson deconvolution and other tools in that old software, (if needed I use PS for levels, etc.) that is all.
I forgot to tell that when recording the "surface" 600 frames, I use a Gamma of .60, the Exposure and Gain are variable depending on the seeing and weather conditions, as for the "prominence" 600 frames I use a higher Gamma and also a higher Gain and Exposure so to get some results.
Best regards.
Eric.

Re: Sol from the 21st of July 2022.
Eric,
Lucam Recorder. Your Mexican Comrade Rainer uses that too. It sounds like a really good piece of software.
And I agree, your proms are awesome! Both CaK and Ha.

Much more than "some results", Eric: you had a very good session, the results speak for themselves !
