Post by alexhuangyan »

n the sunspot ar3055 region, the East-West size of the sunspot is about 16earth sizes, 190000 kilometers; The umbra and penumbra are clearly visible, the penumbra has bright stripe fiber structure, and there is a bright bridge structure between the penumbra and the umbra; Photo background: Sun grains. The image of the solar chromosphere at 6562.8 angstroms shows a clear structure of sunspot magnetic lines of force.

Very nice; particularly the WL image with such fine resolution of the penumbra and granules.
