2022.07.15 Full disk of Sun in H-Alpha

Post by kyuseob »

Hello

I'd like to share my pictures of Sun and my other equipment set-up.

In order to capture the full disk of Sun in H-Alpha, I use 40mm h-alpha telescope.

This is perfect for me to capture the full disk of Sun.
Before I have 40mm scope, I have used 80mm h-alpha scope. However, I think 40mm scope is better than 80mm scope for me.
40mm scope is light-weighted than 80mm scope and easy to use so now 80mm scope is its case after I have 40mm scope.

Date: 2022.07.15
Location: Osong, Republic of Korea (South Korea)
Telescope: LuntSolarSystems 40mm H-Alpha telescope
Mount: RainbowAstro RST-150H
Tripod: Supermount CYG-48G
Camera: ZWO ASI174MM with 2.5x Powermate

Thanks

Kyu-Seob KIM

I don't think they make a stacking etalon for the LS40Tha unless it's recent.

This is beautiful! What blockingfilter do your have for the lunt 40 scope?
Also how do you capture full disk with ASI174MM and 2.5x Powermate? Can't get it to add up on astronomy.tools :)

That’s a really nice full disk. Beautifully uniform.
