August 2 2022 Imaging. Big NE Prominence!

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Earlier today before work I woke up and upon checking out the Sun online and seeing the big prom on the NE limb I thought " It's an imaging day " so I opted for the SMII90 and C102 setup with the ZWO ASI178MM camera. I imaged roughly from 15:00 until 15:45 UTC. I had a lot of clouds to fight around and the seeing was poor. Noticeably unsteady and fuzzy in the monitor. The temperature outside was a humid 82F ( 27.7C ) Most of my images were just too soft to use but a few turned out fairly ok. Anyway here they are.

Thanks everyone. I just wish the seeing would have been a bit better. It looks really nice visually today in the scope and the seeing is better than yesterday. I would have imaged but I am also busy doing other things at the same time so visual was an easier choice.

So much to do. So little time...
