Sun 05 August 2022 animation

Post by proky »

There was a type C eruption today and unfortunately the nice prominence from the previous days fell apart. I managed to capture part of the eruption and create two animations..

Here are the links to the animations. I recommend magnifying both.

A little bit of the protuberance remained, but it was falling apart..

Pavel,
These are incredible. I love the animations. The prom remnant shows very well in you animations and stills. It was smaller and dimmer than this when I picked it up visually probably several hours past your imaging time. Rainer in Mexico imaged it two hours after I viewed it and it is a mere faint wisp in his images.

The C-class eruption in AR13068 is stunning! The affected filament shows fine detail and swirls around so delicately amidst the twisting magnetic fields. This is class A work my friend!

Two thumbs up!! :bow 👍🏻👍🏻

James

Excellent, Pavel. Lots of beautifully captured movement here. We tend to forget the scale and speed of these things.

OMG those animations are breathtaking! I love the fine thread of plasma rain coming out of the floating remnant and that filament opening up out of that flare reminds me of a time lapse of a flower opening up.

Hi Pavel,

:hamster: :bow :seesaw

Very nice work. How did you do this on the surface of the earth ?
Which filter was it you used ? I cannot see the details, it would be nice, no matter how briefly you explain it.

Thank you!
Magnus

These are incredible. I am still coming back for a look. I am saving them for reference. With you being credited of course. These are phenomenal, Pavel.

Congrats on the SPOD!!
