Full Disk and animations from 8/7/2022

Post by rigel123 »

A little frustrating but a nice surprise that I woke to clear skies after having clouds, rain and storms predicted. Seeing was quite variable and things are pretty quiet after last week's monster prom, but still some things going on. The SE Limb had several quiescent proms and I was able to capture 60 minutes for that animation. I switched to the Western Limb and grabbed only 18 minutes of the group of AR's, 3068, 3072 and 3073. Both AR3073 on the right (image was rotated 90 degrees CCW for viewing) and at the end of the animation, AR3068 showed some minor flaring with just the beginning of a nice eruptive event. Lunt LS60T DS, ASI174MM and Meade 3X TeleXtender for the closeups.
