Hi
At F5 its a bit short for imaging with a 4.2x Quark.
The filaments over the surface are less distinct than visually with my 90mm F6.7. And bright areas by the spots less obvious.
Proms are pretty much as I saw. Less dependent on tuning.
Cheers. Andrew.

Actually a Quark Combo + 3x telecentric barlow :-) Yes a bit short I can see that comparing to pictures from others... I might at least switch for a 4x or 5x barlow but then I wont have full disc...AndiesHandyHandies wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 7:33 pm At F5 its a bit short for imaging with a 4.2x Quark.
However I was asking myself... If I put a diaphragm (I mean: a solid disc with a hole) in front of my refractor to get a smaller diameter, it would actually increase the F/D value. But would it help to get more contrast with the Quark?

Yes it will, if you are using a 3x telecentric try a 50mm mask.
