M5.08 flare in AR13708. 08:00UT_8-16-22

Post by DeepSolar64 »

While this one occurred while I was asleep before sunrise I found the SpaceWeatherLive alerts for it on my iPhone concerning it when I awoke. It occurred around 08:00UT and maxed as an M5.08 event. I saved Data concerning it from the SDO, KSO and SWL sources.

Also check out Paul's ( Banjo ) post on it. He did an excellent Ha animation of the flare.

So far I am clouded out today. The SUNoculars are at the ready but they of course are no use for flares.

James

Fantastic, I wish I knew about these alerts. Very big CME came from this region, heading towards earth now.
