Hi Magnus,
Hi,
Thank you, LazloLaszlo Francsics wrote: ↑Thu Aug 18, 2022 8:47 pmHi,
It is a custom made newtonian telescope, design by me, after consultations with couple of astrophotographers like Christian Viladrich.
It is manufactured by friend of mine (amateur astronomer as well), who has his own small automobile-component manufacturing plant, with CNC- and electro discharge machines. He did a quite nice job.
Main mirror is a fused silica 303/1200 without coating, acts like a Herschel wedge.
Seconady is Antares Lambda/20 with coating.
The net weight of the OTA is about 13,3 kg with the carbon frame.
I can ask the manufacturer how about reproduction of the telescope.

Simon, I would love to see what you could do with one. You are an excellent solar imager.
