I took a few days off last week and we continued to have clear skies so I spent time in the dome working away on solar imaging. Took a few days to process all the data, but I am posting both sessions below. The same setups were used both days as listed below:
- Ha FD - LS80T/LS75FHa/B1800Ha + ASI1600MM/1.6x barlow
- WL FD - Orion EON 130EF + Lunt Solar wedge/Baader Continuum Filter + ASI1600MM
- CaK FD - Orion EON 130EF + Lunt B1800CaK/Baader K-line + ASI1600MM
- CaK closeup - Orion EON 130EF + Lunt B1800CaK/Baader K-line + 2x focal extender + ASI1600MM
- Ha closeup - Orion EON 130EF + pair DSII Etalons/B1800Ha +1.3x barlow + ASI1290MM
- Starting with the images from the 1st, starting with the FD images:
I only did higher resolution images in CaK and Ha, so the CaK set are shown below:
and the Ha closeups follow below:------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was not able to start imaging as early on the 2nd, and only imaged in Ha. Results of the session are shown below: I found another image of AR3089 that wasn't as over exposed, so it is posted in mono and colorized modes below: the limb exposures close the session off: Sorry for the long post, but glad you made it this far
Overcast and cool today, so that allowed me to catch up. Forecast is for clear skies again tomorrow, so I'll likely have a go at imaging again.
