2022 Sept 5 - 2x Powermate on a Quark!!
Seeing was so stable, i couldn't resist it! I got the 2x Powermate and added it to the chain. This is a 9 panel mosaic.

Nice shot!
Why double the magnifcation and then reduce the image size finally? - seems a strange way of getting the same result as not using the powermate in the first place...

Superb, Simon. Jaw droppingly good
You must have had excellent seeing conditions to achieve this level of detail.

Hello Simon,
Very impressive imaging here! I wonder how the "seeing" was ? Were you on top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii doing this imaging?
I would also like to suggest a solution to the large file issue.
You could post a small or very small preview image, and the full size version, you can offer for forum viewers to view or download on a DROPBOX link. I think this is a possible solution.
Not all of us want to see 100 MB files of solar details !

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great image.
If you can link to a full size version it would be great.
If you're getting away with the seeing on a 6 inch scope using a Quark and then 2x multiplier your really could support and should consider using a larger scope

Does that work? And yes, i could probably get away with a 230mm scope on certain days.
