12th Sept Sunspots

Post by JohnW »

12 Sept SE Australia...
A cloudy and cold day again. I managed a quick single exposure shot of the sun around noon as a blue patch of sky passed by the sun.
A lot of small sunspots, the most prominent was AR 3098. Taken thru a 81 mm WO refractor with Herschel wedge at 540 nm wavelength using a Canon 550d camera. Thanks for viewing.

Thank you everybody for your comments. A lot of active regions even if small. It will be interesting to see how AR 3098 develops.
Cheers John W.

About 4 hours ago AR13098 sparked an M1.8 flare.
