Hi All,

I started to image the sun from 1:42pm BST and carried on as long as I could. I tried to capture the large cluster of proms on the Sun's south eastern edge. I look up to 60+ frames over 1 hour or so. Then it started to cloud up a bit. I then took lots of panels for a full disk. Maybe over 100 GB of files. So emotional over the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

I wonder if this is the sun in tears for the Queen. Just a quick process of 1 file. 13 percent of 1004 frames : Camera ASI 174mm.
Quark chromosphere. ED70 refractor. Imaged at approx F24.

Stacked in AS!3, sharpened and deconvolved in ImPPG, quick finalisation in Photoshop.

Hi All,
Thanks guys for your appreciation. Really quite good seeing, despite the time of imaging after 1pm in the afternoon. Clouds interspersed in the sky.

Amazing looking sun today, i have so many files to process...

This is a wonderful shot Magnus, the prominence does rather look like the one of the lions on the Queen's Royal Standard :)
