September 24 sun and large prom
Out just after lunch - that's the way the day went. temperature wasn't bad, under 20C, seeing didn't seem to terrible, touch of haze.
Saw a couple of large proms take off in the last day or so on the GONG site, and saw the beginnings of something this morning so had a look.
LS40, Barlow, ASI174
850 uS exposure b&w with prom inverted 8mS exposure to bring out the prom
disc was way overexposed, so adjusted the curves to bring it down to zero.
Eric.

Really like the results with the LS40! Also appreciate the negative prom and positive disc image.

Re: September 24 sun and large prom
Hi
I was out for some time and saw the full development of the prom. It was nice and bright and contrasty. At the end I cought the last of the lift off, beyond Gongs reach.
Cheers. Andrew.
