2.10.2022 AR3110, 3112 & 3113

Post by Rusted »

Early cloud cleared to sunshine but with soft and shaky seeing conditions.
The sky is very white around the sun. Best so far but still hoping for better:

Thank you Franco. :D :bow

It is much cloudier now. So I'll pause for lunch and see what the afternoon brings.

Nice ones Chris, just now setting up waiting for the sun to rise high enough to see what I might capture!

Thanks Warren. :D :bow

Good luck! I hope your seeing conditions are better than mine! ;)
I can't even focus sharply. Pure guesswork.
It's a massive group!

Nice! I love that final image. That one would have been even more beautiful colorized.

I was out visually observing when you took the last one.

Thank you Maurits and James. :D :bow

As requested: Though I am not sure I agree that colour improves it. ;)

I agree Chris. The monochrome image shows a bit more detail and contrast though the colored image is aesthetically prettier to the eye. Both are nice in their own way!

Thanks!

This may be the lack of sharp detail. Though interestingly, the light bridges on the major spot are still visible.
Had the seeing been better the digital application of a colour wash might have enhanced the image more.

Thank you Mark. :D :bow

Imagine what I can do if/when I can sharply focus the image on the monitor. ;)

"Least mushy" is not an ideal scenario for imaging anything.
