October 3 2022 Observations. 8x32 WL SUNoculars

Post by DeepSolar64 »

My session time is from 17:30 until 17:40 UTC. Mostly cloudy skies. The temperature for this session is a warmer 65F ( 18.3C )

I can see five active regions using the Lunt 8x32 SUNoculars in white light. All four of these are numbered. One is visible in the southern hemisphere and it to is labeled.

AR13112 in the NE quadrant is really easy and sizeable and two larger spots are visible surrounded by smaller ones. One of the larger spots leads the group. AR13111 is seen as a single easy spot just west of the CLM. AR13113 and AR13110 appear close together nearing the NW limb. I can see two spots in AR13113 and 3 spots in AR13110.

I can see AR13114 in the SE quadrant as two spots for certain. A third is uncertain. I never could see the two spots to the NE. High passing clouds may have hampered me.

Carpe Lumen!

James

Thanks everyone! The little sunoculars can help save a mostly cloudy day and can show more than you think.
