Partial solar eclipse, 25 Oct 2022, first shot

Post by H-Alpha »

Hi all,

A bright sunny day in Athens as it was expected! :-) :-) :-)

This my first shot of the eclipse, without much processing...

I am preparing an animation of the entire eclipse! It will take much longer to make it beautiful, but I believe the data are there... :-)

Best wishes,
Alexandros

PS: If you know how to remove the light fringe around the moon disk automatically (for all my 84 frames), while keeping the proms, your idea will be welcome.

Hi Alexandros,

IMHO and from my taste that is a very minor issue. If you would not have mentioned it, I would not have put attention to it ...

That's a real beauty and I look forward to the animation :bow :hamster:

I can remember that stacking an eclipse is a real pain, that fringe always raises its ugly head. You have reminded me what to look forward to tonight :)

That's great Alexandros! I also would not worry about the light fringe around the moon. It will be interesting to see if it is consistent in each frame. Looking forward to the animation.
