Not a full disc yet, but ...

Post by rsfoto »

...

Hi,

I have been wondering myself why so many members here do not add in their profile where they live.

This would be nice as so we can compare better our results. Without knowing where they live we have absolutely no clue of their time zone ...

I agree. It helps on figuring out what they see in relation to where you are. Universal Time can synchronize us in many ways but it helps to know where the Sun is in the observers sky based on their location on the planet. One doesn't have to give their exact location, address etc just a general town, city, or region they live. Even the country it helps if the country isn't big. With large countries like the US, China, Canada and Russia for example it helps to narrow it down a bit.

Yes, it does help, even if just a country it gives an idea of time zone without giving away location. Looks better on a SPOD too

Yes sometimes I look to the profile to know where the images come from.
