These are beautiful taken and processed Nic nice to see them correctly orientated too, I need to add a tilting Sun to mine at the weekend. What telescope did you use for these?

Re: Partial eclipse from York UK in CaK & WL
😂 yes the sky over the Vale of York is magical and acts as a cloud filter but the down side is that it gives you WL processing results that are a bit ‘egg yolk’! I’m trying to get a WL colour which reflects a gentle white-yellow like I see with my eye but it keeps looking grey and stained like an over washed white t-shirt with tea spilled down it! I’ll persevere and in the meantime ‘egg yolk’ will have to do!
Your kind comments are hugely appreciated thanks all… I will add that I am quite resilient (hiding behind a cushion) and kindly presented suggestions for improvement are welcomed.
It’s quite a trick to get processing right so that it looks okay without zooming in and then still okay on zooming in with the amazing resolution of this new 183… but what a lovely problem to have!
Should’ve listed the equipment sorry,
CaK was SW Evostar 80ED DS Pro stepped down to 60mm &
Lunt Ca-K B1200 module
then
WL SW Evostar 80ED DS Pro
1.25” Lunt Herschel Wedge
UV/IR filter
Solar continuum filter
& both with ASI183MM, Celestron AVX & Hinode Solar Guider.
7% of 60s stacked in AS!2, processed in ImPGG then Mac Photos app & coloured in GIMP.

Brilliant images, Nic ! Glad you were able to observe and capture the event in two lights. Both great, the CaK is my favorite as it shows more features.

Superb, Nic. I was hoping you were managing to get a view of the eclipse when I was out on my driveway doing the same. Clouds or not, it worked out very nicely for you.
