Two animations of the NE limb 10/27/2022

Post by rigel123 »

Seeing was quite variable and I started very early this morning and the light intensity increased so had to do some tweaking to get the histogram somewhat stable for the entire animations. The first one I included the disk thinking the filaprom on that NE limb might show a bit more motion. When I saw it was fairly quiescent I later raised the Gain to get that fainter prom a bit better. The sun was just above my roof by that time so I was fighting some heat convection coming off the roof but the prom put on a pretty good show anyway. The first animation is 30 minutes in real time, the 2nd one was for 50 minutes. Lunt LS60T DS, ASI174MM and Meade 3X TeleXtender. More to work on later!

I always look forward to seeing your animations, Warren. Nicely done. Interesting dynamics :)
