Yesterday morning, in addition to the tested spectroheliogram in CaIIK3 light (center line CaIIK), I also took two spectroheliograms in the area around 3860 A and precisely the one in Fe1 light at 3859.9 A and the one in Cn at 3861.6 A. These last two appear quite similar, with evident faculae, even if not like the intensity of those of CaIIK3 placed for comparison in the comparison image.POSS2 Hires spectrograph, camera DMK 51 .The slit was the quartz-chrome slit that Douglas kindly sold to me, and the conversion software SLM, for INTI and AVI recon seems not to work well in this spectral zone.

Re: Some near UV images
Very interesting, both look quite similar and hinting at CaK
Many thanks for this

Re: Some near UV images
Thanks, Alexandra: these lines (Fe1 and Cn) exibit some features of low chromosphere, then the question is: do their atomic population really belong to lower chromosphere or not?
