Few images from October 29-30, 2022

Post by ffellah »

Hello all: I admired everybody's images in the last few days. I have my Ha interpretation of the "dancer prominence", an interesting and complex CaH prom, a CaH FD that is the maiden voyage of a newly acquired ASI183MM. This is the largest FD image I have processed so far, at 5557x5135 pixels (a two image mosaic). By the time a tried an almost WL FD, the seeing had deteriorated.

Well done! The CaH prom looks quite delicate compared to Ha proms.

Fantastic proms & FD Franco.
Great to see you having fun with new equipment. I've found the 183 to be a real game changer.
Looking forward to seeing more from you,
Nic

These are great Franco, I think we need an imaging challenge to image prominences and appropriately name them :) I think you and James would do really well :)

The blue ‘coronagraph’ prom image is stunning, Franco. Very nice indeed. So delicate and ethereal.
