My new project - Triband 8" +LS80+QUark combo

Post by pupak »

My last project (hopefully). Triband 200/F10 reduced to F7 by Baader reducer for LS80 etalon and then extended by TV4x PMT to F28 for Quark combo. The assembly and my best shot of the sun is attached.
Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow.

I do not look at the sky with the eyes of an astronomer, but of a person looking for the beauty of nature.

Nice setup!
Did you get the Lunt compressor for the pressure tuner? If so how do you like it? I'm usually about a quarter turn from end-of-travel on mine (at 7500 feet) and have been wondering if the compressor would provide more range.

Your mod looks very good Pupac :bow

I will be interested in your results...I never had great luck trying my Lunt DSII etalon on my C9.25 Edge.
