Well, our first year of allowing paid banner sponsors on the solarchat forum has ended.

I want to say an enormous thank you to the fine folks at Woodland Hills Camera and Telescope, The British Astronomical Association and Teleskop Spezialisten for their generosity and philanthropy in keeping our forum alive and well.

We will offer the banner for another year if these businesses would like but I want everyone to realize how difficult it is to run a telescope business in today's time and what a sacrifice these people made so that we can have our little corner of the internet. They do this because they want to generate business and because they believe in our forum and hobby. Please make your purchases through these businesses when at all possible. Maybe saving a dollar or two somewhere else might seem like a good idea but if you are buying products from places that do not support your hobby or aren't interested in the things that are important to you, you are really losing a lot more than a couple dollars savings.

We generate advertisements for Coronado and Lunt more than any others here but they are no where to be found on supporting us. So weird. But maybe they think, why pay when we get it for free!??
