Big eruption on the NW Limb this morning 11/18/2022
This occurred in the wee hours this morning which would not have mattered anyway since we are still totally cloud covered but I caught it on GONG so made an animation from the individual frames to save it. It appears to have started at about 8:57 UTC and I grabbed images up through 9:44 UTC. This would have been a fun one to observe/image!

I saw that Paul actually caught a shot of part of this blast through some pretty poor conditions!

It certainly did today! This will show you the desperation that can grip you after a week of clouds! Shooting through the front storm door, through a tree with clouds because the temp was 29F with a wind chill of 22!!
Desperation "Full" disk with tree limb, etc. (single frame pulled from PIPP)

Yes, I believe both he and Paul grabbed a still of the area during the blast.
