Am I the only one using ASTRO IIDC on SolarChat?

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Through I have a USB3 ZWO ASI178MM and run a Windows 8.1 machine using SharpCap, AVIstack and GIMP, I just as much use a FireWire PGR Grasshopper on a MacBook Pro 17 running MacOS High Sierra using ASTRO IIDC and GIMP. Are they anyone on SolarChat that still uses ASTRO IIDC at all? I would guess Stephen may but I don't have any recollection of anyone currently using this software besides me.

It's old but seems very capable. It's easy to use too! It's it's ease of use I like though I still have quite a bit to learn using it. Unfortunately it has expired and is no longer commercially available and must be licensed to use and no updates are being done on it. And it requires older FireWire Macs to run. These have inspired most people to move on to newer mostly Windows based imaging software.
