I was online earlier looking for sites to find more affordable astronomical filters and came upon the Beijing Bodian Optical Technology Company. Has anyone here ever used a filter by them? I know nothing about them or how reputable they are or the Alibaba site that they are ordered from. I also looked for CaH, CaK and TiO filters without success.
Just curious.

Never seen them before James, sorry. Do they easily screw into regular 1.25" hardware?

Re: BBOTC filters. Has anyone here used them?
That's a good question Mark. They do appear to be unmounted though. Marty Wise said the 540nm filter I got from him was originally unmounted and he got the fixture, I don't know really what it's called, to mount it in and mounted it himself. It's an Edmund Optical filter. The mounting is 1.25".marktownley wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 6:07 pm Never seen them before James, sorry. Do they easily screw into regular 1.25" hardware?
They do appear to have their filters in some kind of mounting but I don't know what it's for. The filters probably would have to be removed from this and mounted into a 1.25" screw in housing to fit an eyepiece.
