Here is today's full disk Sun taken in Ha as a two panel mosaic using my Lunt LS50T. I tried a couple of different things today (some worked and some didn't).
First, I tried to get more of the prominences to show up better in the images. They came out OK here, but I think the tuning was a little off. I also tried to get shots of just the proms to add to the disk but when I stacked them they came out terrible. I kept the data so maybe I'll change some stack settings and try again. The last thing I tried was some white light images with my Herschal wedge, but I couldn't get it to focus. Visually, the disk looked great, but on the computer screen it was just mush. That will require some more research on my part. All in good time though!

Re: January 15 Full Disk in Ha
Your Ha disc turned out fine. I cannot tell where you joined the two images into the mosaic.
I too have better luck with sharpness visually than with imaging. I focus much more easily and precisely through an eyepiece than through a monitor.

This a super image Shawn
Did you use a UV/IR cut filter with the Herschel wedge, you may find you can focus easier with this.
