First light Double Stacked Quark H-alpha 17-01-23
My ever evolving solar H-alpha telescope is now complete.
I've now double stacked it with a naked PST etalon. todays weather was a shocker for imaging but I persevered and got a few captures.
The results are better than I anticipated.
Here are my results.

Martin these look absolutely fabulous. From the details and proms/filaproms on the limb to the color. Bravo!

It's been great to watch the evolution of your scope. You've got to be happy with those results. The evenness across the image is excellent!

Great evolution and results, Martin. Part of the fun is upgrading and refining your setup and see how that works out.

Re: First light Double Stacked Quark H-alpha 17-01-23
I love your scope, Martin. Congratulations on the double stack mod and nice images.
If you don’t mind me saying, I can see a slight double limb, so you might just need to tweak a bit to get bang on the narrowest bandwidth. I say this because I see the same with my double stacked 150mm refractor and know I have to start the session concentrating my efforts on the limb to optimise tuning. Achieving a single limb does make a difference to the final results.

Re: First light Double Stacked Quark H-alpha 17-01-23
Thank you for for your observation Stu, I had noticed that too, my next job will be calibrating the PST etalon relative to the Quark. Now I know roughly where the PST etalon is close to being on band, I can do some tweaking for the optimum results.

Thanks for your question Paul, it is the bare etalon with both lenses removed.
