Western Limb Ha and WL 26-01-23

Todays Sky was much the same as yesterday but with less cloud.which allowed me to take some animations, here are my results taken through intermitant cloud cover

The H alpha animations were taken with my120mm F/8.3 refractor, 2" 7nm Ha filter as internal ERF , TZ4 ,Player One 1.25" ERF Combo Quark and ASI174mm Camera.

The white light images were taken with my home made wedge, ND3.0 filter UV/IR cut filter, #58 green filter and asi 290 MM Camera.


H alpha : ,Skywatcher 120mm F8 open frame refractor, a tilted 2" 7nm H-alpha filter as a sub energy rejection filter, Baader TZ4 telecentric focal extender, Player One energy rejection filter, Combo Quark Chromosphere, Naked PST etalon for double stacking, ASI74mm camera

Ripper animations Martin. The NW 15min one is fascinating to watch, particularly the activity lower down on the limb.

Wow Martin, superb animations! I managed one hour showing Greg Bock what I do but there was cloud coming through and I ended up dumping many files. But as you wonderfully show it was absolute fireworks in the SW!

Hi Peter, has Greg caught the Solar bug yet?. As you can see by the screenshot the clouds were not cooperative today up here in Brisbane.

Yeah Martin my guiding graph and ssm was equally as messy! You have done really well with that double stack, I am in awe at the next level of animations. This is now high on my agenda! I have surprised Greg today and lent him my Lunt 60mm for the next 6 months, will soon see!

Almost gone AR13190 is in your images. By the time I took a view it had rounded the limb.

Superb!! I love the rotation effect of the prom, I have never seen one rotating in that direction before.
