Prominence animation 16.3.2023

Post by Petrus »

I had the luxury to get the first test with Quark Chromosphere this season. This version is the etalon from Solarscout 60DS scope. It has a reflection issue, which I just learned to live with. I estimate about +2 C degrees, a very nice early spring session. The duration of the animation is about 20 minutes.

Nice views with the Quark made me feel lucky and try making animation. I have very brief moments when the Sun remains without obstacles (trees mostly) in the garden, so I thought it would be too early. Also, clouds were making their entrance.

TS Optics 80ED F7, Optolong IR UV cut filter, Daystar SolarScout etalon mod, Rowan Astronomy tilt adapter, ZWO ASI174MM. iOptron AZ Mount Pro.
